How To: Troubleshoot MYOB Installation Issues

Depending on your error code, there are different ways of troubleshooting them.

Out of all MYOB installation issues, this is one of the most easiest solved. This happened when your installation process is interrupted by another program. Uninstall your current version and try to install again by choosing to run the program as an administrator (right click). This should resolve any potential issues and unclosed features.

This error only occurs when your windows systems has important updates that needed installation before the MYOB software can be set up. Make sure that your windows systems are up to date by checking the updates often. Install the updates and restart your computer before trying to install again. If there are still problems, try by installing update KB2919355 or microsoft.NET framework versions 4.6.1 instead.

These MYOB installation issues are caused by expired installer certificates. If you already have a subscription, you will have to download the latest version by signing in. Once done, reinstall once again and there should be no problems.

This occurs when there are files/folders that cannot be accessed from your computer during the MYOB installation process. Hold down your Windows and R key to access the run window, and use the Open area to type in [ %localappdata% ] to open up a folder list. Choose Package cache and then select properties. Once done, choose the security tab and look for the entries labelled Group/Username. Click edit and type SYSTEM into the white box where your cursor is flashing in. Choose check names. This should be able to choose System and then System again. Try installing your MYOB software again.
