How To: Create Watermarks For Microsoft Word Projects
Safeguard your Microsoft Word projects by taking steps to ensure that distribution of confidential material is under close watch. There are many methods one can use to do exactly so, including password protecting and the like. Another such security measure, would be to consider adding watermarks to your Microsoft Word projects. Here’s how you can do so:
Do note that whenever watermarks are added to Microsoft Word projects, the watermark will appear on every page except for the title page that you designate. By default. Microsoft Word comes already with watermarks that are commonly used like DO NOT COPY, CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT and more that users are able to use freely. However, you are recommended to create and use your own watermarks as well.
To insert the watermark, select the Design tab on your Microsoft Word project and locate your page background group. For later Word programs, locate them through the page layout tab and select your page background group. Once you have selected watermark, you will be taken to a gallery of the images Microsoft Word has for your use. If the watermark doesn’t appear, view them through print layout to get an accurate gauge on how it looks when applied and printed.
If you want to insert your own designed watermark into your Microsoft Word projects, you can create them using the custom watermark function. Perform the same steps above to access watermark features- this time, choose the custom watermark option and select text watermark. You can then choose between different fonts, sizing, layout, colours and other watermark options for your own. Once you are satisfied with your custom watermark, choose ok so that it is applied.
For users who wish to use the watermark for all their Microsoft Word projects in the future, it is recommended to save the custom watermark into the watermark gallery so you wouldn’t have to spend time and effort recreating them each time you need to use them. Select the custom watermark you have created and locate the page layout tab once more. Choose watermark and select the save selection to watermark gallery option. This will successfully save it in. In the event that you no longer want the watermark, you can choose to delete them by using the remove watermark option.
