Learn to use the concept of spacing and skewing to your advantage and create visually appealing content in your Microsoft Word projects today. Play around with fonts, typography and other typefaces to truly achieve greatness, productivity and style. Here’s what to do:
Microsoft Word allows users to play around with spacing in three different ways- line spaces, paragraph space and document spaces. Depending on the nature of your Microsoft Word projects, different choices are more beneficial so feel free to play around with the different spacing options until you find one that best suits your projects.
Line Spacing
Much like it’s name suggests, line spacing is used in Microsoft Word projects that require different spacing in individual lines. For example, a line of dialogue can be “separated” from the rest of the regularly spaced text to draw emphasis and visual focus. This feature can be accessed by locating the Home tab of your Microsoft Word software and locating the tool Line and Paragraph Spacing. By selecting on this tool, you will be able to choose different options. You will be able to see a preview before you go through with the options.
If none of the preset options appeal to you, select Line Spacing Options at the very bottom to customise your own for your Microsoft Word projects. Under the spacing section of the dialog box that appears, you can tweak the line spacing by different points.
Paragraph Spacing
If you want to adjust the spacing either before or after paragraphs instead, choose to use paragraph spacing. To do so for your Microsoft Word projects, look for Paragraph settings under the Home tab of your Microsoft Word software. You will then be led to spacing options, focus on the before and after selections. Change it accordingly to your requirements.
Document Spacing
If you want to adjust the spacing for your entire document, that can also be done. Document spacing is usually accomplished with the design tab. You can then choose the different built in options present for document formatting according to what you desire.
